Interesting you should mention the angle grinder. I met two woodworkers in the last month who use angle grinders. They both make beautiful stuff. I bought wood from Shea Alexander to make a seven-stick chair. I'm going to use my scorp and travisher to saddle the seat, but I know that while I do, there's going to be a little devil on my shoulder telling me how much easier and faster it could be.
As I was lighting my morning fire (not a euphemism) the question came to me: is this the earliest form of stick chair? It’s a big stick. I love the addition of the antlers too. Silver maple is a wondrous underrated wood. Tough stuff.
I always wondered what the thrill was of making museum pieces that precisely imitated chairs from the 1750ties.
Niw its time to show me your take on things. A nod to the engineering and construction lessons makers from a few thousand years have figured out. Ok. Now do something creative.
I generally like your work (some I love!), but that is one ugly chair in my view.
Caveman furniture not my cup of tea. But 6 pack of beer and a chain saw. What could go wrong?
I love the antler chair. I think you made it comfortable to sit in.
Amaze your friends!
Scare your enemies!
Keep your friends close, and your enemas closer.
Antlers. Best chair crest yet.
FYI, those antlers were sheds. No deer were harmed in the making of this oddball.
Damn autocorrect!
I can imagine a rocker version next to it!
Love it! I came image a rocker version next to it.
I love the chair. I was trying to figure out how the seat attached. Is it drilled and screwed from the bottom like the old church pews I’ve reworked?

Next a half rotten log lying in the woods looking a great deal like a sofa.
Or a coffin
I love this. We need a chair. We have this rotten log. Done! Human ingenuity at its best.

“Your gonna put your eye out with that thing”
I like the chair just not at my house …..

Dugout chairs may have been the first thrones.
We'll have to start calling you Gaston.
