Our new retail space took a leap forward today with the addition of these new cabinets to display books and tools. The glass doors will be removed so customers can easily access the books. And my daughter Katherine is going to decorate the cabinets with some 19th-century stenciling and hand painting.
Then we’ll bring in a workbench, and I’ll build the window display area (when I get back to town next week).
There’s still a long way to go, but the store’s 19th-century vibe is finally coming on line.
We are also working on signage. One of the biggest questions we get when people walk into our place is: “What do you do here?”
This window sign is supposed to help answer that question.
