Whenever we release a new book, tool or piece of apparel, I try to modulate the tone of my writing. I’m not a slick salesman. I don’t like hyperbole, breathless product descriptions or arrogance.
But I’m finishing up the last details on our Crucible Engraving Tool, and I am trying to tamp down my excitement. I know this tool won’t change the world, like the Lie-Nielsen 60-1/2 block plane or the Independence Dovetail saw. But the engraving tool is so simple. It works so well. And it opens up a new skill – geometric engraving – for people to try.
Oh, and it’s affordable. We are selling the tool with two cutters for $27.
