One of the benefits of being a paid subscriber is getting to look at some products as we develop them. We are doing some preliminary work today on two new products. Here’s a quick look.
Pinch Rods
We had to discontinue our pinch rods this year because the price of the brass part tripled, making the tool a no-go. So now we are looking at a new design in steel. This design was brought to my attention by Roger Davis and uses keystock with a clever clamping mechanism.
Like our old pinch rods, the user can make them as big or small as they please. Keystock is available in a wide variety of lengths and is inexpensive.
Also, Roger has a bunch of accessories that work with the clamp.
Our machinist is optimistic that we’ll be able to make the design at a price that makes sense for the market. Stay tuned.
